Prep Day To Do List:

To create an effective prep day To Do List you will need to develop a work plan first.

Note the start and end time of the class period to help you plan the To Do List for Prep Day.

Always give your lab group a minimum of 10 minutes to clean up every time you enter the lab kitchens.

Always give your lab team 10 minutes to eat their lab creations.

Always give your lab team 10 minutes to clean up your lab mess.

Always give your lab team 1 to 3 minutes to complete a Kitchen Check.

How do I create a Dovetail?

To create an effective lab day time schedule you will need to develop a work plan first.

Not every preparations step needs your undivided attention. You could, for example, make a tossed salad while chicken pieces are roasting.

Dovetail means to overlap tasks to use your time more efficiently.

Dovetailing is especially important when you are preparing a whole meal.

Example: While you keep an eye on the cooking eggs, you can mix the orange juice.
